Totally Special

Hey - how's everyone's weekend going? It is absolutely gorgeous here today and nicer outside than in. It's hot in our house as we don't have our air conditioner in yet. It's been so cold that we haven't really needed it. I think the time is approaching where we won't be able to stand the heat in the kitchen so to speak. Here's a fun card I made that's round and paper pieced with different cardstocks that I love. I really enjoyed creating this card and the stamp set is one of my favorites from my best bud Stacey - she's awesome and TOTALLY SPECIAL! Enjoy your weekend - see you soon! Brenda

School's Out for the Summer!!

OMGosh...I can't believe I now have 2nd, 3rd and 6th graders in my family. Geesh, time flies. Seems like just last week they were starting the 2007-08 school year??? Where has time gone? Now what? What do we do all summer? You know, the parents don't get summer vacation, we still have to report to our daily duties. Hmmm...when did that all change? Oh yeah, when we became adults - HA! Maybe more time for me to get some creative things done instead of running to pick up kids from 3 different schools. Let's hope... Here's a fun and simple little card I created for one of my husband's friends as an encouragement. I thought it was kinda manly and simple, not too foo-foo. Hope the beginning of your summer is going well and that you're able to find some quiet time to create something. Hugs - Brenda

Racing for Them

Them? My children! I don't want them to end up going through the same horrible treatment and recovery that I had to endure. Breast cancer has a very successful recovery rate, but it still is a terrible road to travel. I race for my children and their health as they develop into young adults and adults. If you have never had a mammogram, don't think you're too young. I was 36 when cancer was diagnosed and nursing my son. I'm encouraging all of you ladies to get yourself checked out so you can enjoy watching your children and grandchildren grow up. OK, I'm off my soapbox now :) I had so much fun making this page. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and so bright and cheery - love them! Used my Cricut to make the letters and little flower at the bottom. Enjoy your day - see you soon! Hugs - Brenda
